The Wright Brothers' Evolution
The Wright's design process was evolutionary. Each aircraft's design was developed from the previous one, starting with the 1899 kite. The Wright Experience will build all of the Wrights' machines from the 1899 kite through the Model "B", their first production aircraft.

Wright Model A in Construction Wright Model A in Construction

Our current projects include the Wright Model A Fort Myer Flyer. This aircraft made its public debut in the National Memorial Day Parade on May 26, 2008 on Constitution Avenue in Washington DC .

On Sept. 6, this aircraft will go on display at Fort Myer for public celebrations commemorating the Centennial of Orville Wright¹s inaugural flights in 1908. Following that, the plane will go to the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles International Airport as an interactive educational exhibit for a year.

Please visit the Discovery of Flight Foundation to see how you can join the team!
